I had ordered and returned several similar sneakers in my quest for something low-key yet stylish in a wool sneaker, so I was pleasantly surprised when these seemed to check all of the boxes. I typically wear an 8-1/2 in most regular shoes & a 9 in athletic sneakers. I ordered both sizes to try them, and found the 8-1/2's to be the best fit for me. I have a narrower foot but need width at the front to accommodate bunions, and add a 3/4 length orthotic (on top of the existing insole). These fit comfortably. The dark gray wool is attractive, with matching round shoelaces. The black ribbon pull-on tab at the heel is a nice feature. The small touches of orange at the tongue & heel are sufficiently minimal. I like the contrast of the white sole for a sportier look than those with black soles. The soles are nicely cushy and are non-slip on slick dry surfaces. I have not yet worn them outside since I purchased them primarily as "house shoes." I wear athletic sneakers for daily exercise. They are very light weight which is a plus. I gave them 4 stars since I've not yet had a chance to see how they will hold up over time, but at the moment they seem to be a good value at Amazon's price.
